Girl when ya got down to swearing and hating life, you know ya done it right.

LOL, I know! I also know with every burpee I complete my body is getting that much stronger. I’m starting to find joy in this world of body weight/weight training to blend with my running. Now, I just have to remember to fit yoga into that and balance will be restored once again.

Okay that mowing session took a bit more physical strength than just cutting grass

There is a patch of land where I let the weeds grow taller than Adam(41”) with very thick stalks. It took strategic mowing to male sure I could hack into them all.

Oh, but I’m not done. I’ve got that glorious Superman workout to complete. I can do that in a little bit once Adam has gone to bed.

I get to do something else tomorrow that I will enjoy immensely. It may not be much to most, but I appreciate the process.

Have I confused everyone? (Mr. Burns) Excellent…

Superhero Workout of the Day: Superman!

Today’s Superhero Workout of the Day is based off of:

There we go! That’s more like it! In celebration of the new movie (in which I still haven’t seen yet) and in honor of my bestie for life: Ernie!

What is there to say about the Man of Steel except for the fat that he surely is one tough cookie? Now, I’m not saying that the following workout will allow you to be shot with a bullet or run faster than a speeding train (nor would I suggest that you try either), but it will make you feel like a badass.

For today’s workout, you’re going to need weights or like a water jug or something a little bit heavier than just a water bottle if you can find it. This is the workout that Henry Cavill really used for his roll in Superman. It was created by Mark Twilight, the same man that came up with the workout for the guys of 300.

Are you ready?

Workout

Goblet Squat - 25 reps
take 8 controlled breaths in and out your nose, but don’t move
kettlebell swing - 25 reps
take 8 controlled breaths in and out your nose, but don’t move
Burpees - 25 reps
take 8 controlled breaths in and out your nose, but don’t move
Jumping jacks - 25 reps
take 8 controlled breaths in and out your nose, but don’t move


Repeat 3 times (total of four times).

Don’t forget to breathe!
